Dublin, Ireland's capital city, is located just 25km away. It is easily accessed
by train and buses that run frequently to and from Maynooth. On-campus accommodation
has around 900 rooms, with 40% reserved for first-year students.

4-Year Structured PhD Programme from 2010
NUI Maynooth will be offering a 4-year structured PhD programme in a number of disciplines
from September 2010. A key aspiration of the 4-year programme is advancement of
knowledge through research. It is also underpinned by structured training in generic
and transferable skills.
The 4 year structured PhD programme will be initially available in the following
disciplines:
Immunology; Economics and Finance; Network Mathematics, Social Science; Humanities
(Celtic Studies, History, Music, English, and Translation Studies) with ICT; and
Environment and Climate Change.
Full or partial scholarships are available for the right candidates.
